Skate Melbourne Framework – have your say!

Posted by City of Melbourne

City of Melbourne are developing the first Skate Framework for Melbourne.

We need your help in order to better understand how skate activity can become a part of the city and how to provide for the skate community into the future.

Click here to have your say and help us create the Skate Melbourne Framework

From skating in the streets to a skate park, BMX riding to in-line skating and everything in between, skating is a popular activity in the city. As the number of people skating in the city grows, a framework is required to guide the provision, location and management of skating in the city into the future.

On our Participate Melbourne site you will find a survey, discussion points and a background paper. These documents highlight the context of skating in Melbourne, the associated opportunities, challenges and look at what other capital cities around the world are doing in terms of skate management and provision. There is also information on our upcoming skate events.

Do you want to get involved in developing the framework further? Express your interest to be a member of our Skate Melbourne Advisory Group by clicking here or by following the link on the website. Applications close 4 April.

We're excited to hear your ideas and feedback!

Sincerely,

The Skate Melbourne Team
